Yesterday, we launched a new project integrating art and math. We brainstormed all the things that art and math share, and we looked at how the two fields strengthen each other. In addition, we focused on how constraints lead to innovation and creativity. As a warm-up, we began making protractor drawings, inspired by Frank Stella. Students could make anything they wanted using a protractor as the basis for their drawings. We will proceed with the next phase of the project on Thursday. Check out these pics!
