7th Grade Juxtaposition Drawings

7th graders are creating charcoal juxtaposition drawings. They are learning how to create value with charcoal and utilizing a grid to scale up an image. To create their juxtaposition, they are pairing their image with an unrelated grouping of words intended to make the viewer pause and ponder the relationship between the two. In some cases, students embraced chance and randomly put their finger on a passage from a book to find their words.
